Note On Brand & Quality:

We strive to provide only the highest quality affordable parts available. Whenever possible we source Genuine Parts. Many of our parts come from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Most vehicle manufacturers (i.e. VW, BMW etc.) do not manufacture all the original parts, and instead contract Original Equipment Manufacturers to fabricate parts to their exact specifications. We carry a wide range of OEM parts from a variety of trusted manufacturers that produce parts for VW, including VDO, Gemo, Hella, Bosch etc. When we can we prefer to stock new old stock (NOS) parts however when an original part is not available we sometimes source high quality reproduction parts.

We do not sell any products we would not put on our own cars!

I can't find the part I am looking for!

If you can't find any part on our website feel free to shoot us a message using the contact form here. If we carry it, we will find it for you. If we don't we will let you know what we know about its availability. This will also help us improve the functionality of our sites search engine.

If you know the specific part number, you can search using that number using the following format: 555 555 555A (A space in between every three numerical digits and no space before any letter at the end of the part number. If you have a color code, e.g. 01C for black, add it after a space at the end of the part number, e.g. 555 555 555A 01C )

How can I return a product?

Fluids, tools, custom order items such as floor mats, hardware, shop supplies and books may not be returned.* No matter what the reason, we will accept returns on all other items within 30 days of the purchase. Returns must be received unused and in original packaging.

*unless expressly authorized by Mk1 Autohaus staff.

To return an item you MUST first request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).

To request an RMA please follow the following steps:
  1. Log into your Mk1 Autohaus account in the 'My Account' section.
  2. In the Track Your Recent Orders section,  click on the View Details link for the order you would like to initiate the RMA for.
  3. Once in the order, click on the "Add New RMA" button.
  4. Choose the number of items you want to return in the Order Items section.
  5. In the Order Return Options section, choose the Reason and Method for the return.
  6. Finally, you can add comments in the Comments section. This is optional, but will help ensure your return is handled quickly and appropriately. 
  7. Once done, click Save RMA and a confirmation email will be sent to you, and we will be notified of your request.
NOTE: Do not ship the product back until our team has responded to your RMA and provided instructions for the return. 

 If we sent you the wrong item or your item arrived damaged, we will email you a paid postage label that you must print out and place on your package.

If you are returning an item that you ordered by mistake, or simply no longer need or want, all return postage fees are at your own expense.

I have a tracking number, but no tracking information is showing up. (Domestic Orders)

The most common reason this happens is because our local post office failed to scan the package when they received it. In these cases tracking information will generally update within a couple of days as the package gets scanned at various steps in the delivery process. Whenever possible we ship same day, however we allow up to 2 business days for processing. We will notify customers of any significant delay when we expect it. International Orders (Shipping, Customs and Duties):

Customer is responsible for any duties, taxes, etc. United States Postal Service (USPS) is the only shipping method we use for international orders. Most international orders should arrive within 2-3 weeks of the date the order was shipped, however on occasion items get delayed in customs. USPS tracking scans package leaves the united states, and depending on your local postal service may scan either once the package arrives in your country, or once it is delivered at your door. We allow up to 4 weeks from the date shipped for the order to arrive before taking any action on an order.

Is this the right part for my car?

While most our products have detailed fitment notes listed in their description, we understand that fitment isn't always that straightforward. When a part fits the left or right side, which side of my vehicle are you referring to?

Left and right refer to the relative position as you are seated in the vehicle. In the US and other left hand drive countries left refers to the driver side and right refers to the passenger side. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, all of our parts are for left hand drive vehicles (most will work on both left and right hand drive vehicles).

MK1 AUTOHAUS WARRANTY INFORMATION

MK1 Autohaus / MK1 Autohaus warrants that goods sold by it shall be free from defects in material and workmanship, and shall conform to all applicable specifications and drawings. MK1 Autohaus liability, whether based on breach of warranty of contract or negligence in manufacturing, shall by limited to replacement or repair (at MK1 Autohaus' inspection) of the defective or nonconforming goods, or (at MK1 Autohaus' election) refund of the purchase price. This warranty shall apply, and MK1 Autohaus shall be liable for replacement, repair, or refund, only if the buyer has given MK1 Autohaus written notice of the defect or nonconformity within 30 days after the delivery of goods to buyer. After 30 days returns will only be acceptable for store credit or exchange.MK1 Autohaus assumes no liability over the results of the use of any goods purchased from MK1 Autohaus including, without limitation, their use in combination with other components, assemblies or products, or their suitability for a particular environment. The foregoing constitutes the sole and exclusive warranty of MK1 Autohaus and the sole and exclusive remedy of the buyer, and is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, as to merchantability, fitness for the purpose sold, description, quality, or any other matter. Without limiting the foregoing, MK1 Autohaus shall in no way be liable for loss of use or profit, or for other collateral, special or consequential damages. Any warranty given by any other manufacturer or supplier of goods sold or of component parts thereof is assigned by MK1 Autohaus to the buyer to the extent permissible under law and terms of such warranty.
