NOS (not foam or rubber like Kamei or aftermarket.)  Extremely rare early European model Golf Gti shift knob with no shift pattern. And super easy to install! Same thread as all US knobs. 

Knob is super easy to install, remove old knob by twisting counter clockwise and install new by spinning on clockwise threaded insert is same thread pitch (M12x1.5) used on most all VW shift rods from 1974-1993.
