Inner Hatch Seal / Trunk & Boot Lid Gasket

Inner hatch seal, fits onto the body sealing out water between the hatch / boot or trunk lid when its closed. Comes with the small rubber cord piece (as seen in photo) as original which joins the seal together for the proper factory finishing touch.

IMPORTANT NOTE!
These are Genuine Seals, not a universal seal like other are selling. They fit to the vehicle exactly the way VW intended and are exactly what was on the car as it came off the assembly line. The ultimate goal for any restoration is a factory fit and finish, the original parts are more expensive but they will save you time and money in the long run. When it comes to seals its buy original or drive around with a bucket in your car when it rains!
 
The aftermarket seals others are selling  do not have the design characteristics such as the holes in them to allow the seal to compress when the panel is closed and channel water out of the door jam the appropriate felt on them to guide the windows properly through the channel or the correct compounds to last years without fading into charcoal grey. This is Not a simple extrusion reproduction which requires you to use come sort of clip to attach the seal back to itself. allowing a place for water to enter your vehicle after all your time money.
